With funding from the Government of France and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ French Solidarity Fund for Innovative Projects (FSPI), UNRWA has provided training and professional development for Education staff in Gaza, Lebanon, West Bank and Jordan. The funding was also utilized to support the professional development of teachers of French and teachers of non-linguistic subjects taught in French in Lebanon. The two-year project was implemented between July 2019 and July 2021 and was adapted given the Covid-19 operational context. The evaluation was managed by the Education Department and carried out by an external consultancy company, Social Terrain. The evaluation scope included activities implemented throughout the project’s duration, with a focus on assessing the project’s relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability. The evaluation followed a utilization and participatory approach with mixed methods and a non-experimental evaluation design. Data was collected remotely between November 2021 and February 2022.
